Ohio Social Security Hearing Offices (OHO): Addresses, Phone & Fax Numbers
Find Ohio Social Security Office of Hearings Operations locations in Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Toledo, including addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, and eFile fax numbers.
If your Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claim has reached the hearing level, your case is normally assigned to a Social Security Office of Hearings Operations (OHO) office (in a Dear Colleagues letter, the Social Security Administration renamed the offices as simply “Hearings,” but even government letters have not adopted this change). These offices are separate from local Social Security field offices. OHO offices handle disability hearings before Administrative Law Judges (ALJs), while local field offices generally handle applications, benefit questions, records, cards, and many appeal-related filings. Please note: In order to visit most of the Ohio OHOs, you will need to bring a “real ID” and go through a security check. If you need an accommodation, interpreter, or help because of mobility limitations, contact the hearing office before the hearing date.
Please find below a directory of contact information the Ohio OHOs. Always check your Notice of Hearing or call the hearing office before mailing or faxing evidence, or any other documents with private information. If you notice that an office address or phone number has changed, please contact our office so that we can update this directory. We will check the directory on an approximately monthly basis to confirm the contact information.

Cincinnati Social Security Hearing Office

Fax: (833) 619-0569
eFile fax: (877) 904-5488
Notes: You will need to park at another building, but there are parking garages and open air lots within very short walks. Because the Cincinnati OHO is located within the Peck Federal Building, you will need to go through a security check upon entering the building. The Peck Federal Building security can take longer than other buildings, and it can prove tricky for unfamiliar visitors to find the OHO office on the fourth floor, so we recommend arriving particularly early for Cincinnati hearings.
Cleveland Social Security Hearing Office

Notes: Street parking is available immediately outside the building but otherwise parking garages will involve a short walk; there is no garage associated with OHO building. The “Courthouse Plaza” building is an office building, not the courthouse on the same square. Are OHO offices the same as local Social Security offices?
No. Local Social Security field offices are usually where you handle applications, benefit questions, Social Security cards, and many routine Social Security matters. OHO offices are hearing offices. If your disability case is at the hearing level, the hearing office listed on your SSA notice is the office most likely to handle scheduling, hearing-related questions, and hearing evidence.
SSA’s OHO locator lists national SSA/OHO phone assistance at 1-800-772-1213 and TTY at 1-800-325-0778, with revised OHO phone-assistance hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time until further notice.
